Symbio(s)cene

Cultursphere’s directors Ingrid Rügemer and Oliver Szasz, founded the non-profit initiative Symbio(s)cene together with the biologist PD Dr. Tina Heger. With its activities, Symbio(s)cene aims to contribute to the development of new, sustainable worldviews and promotes thinking beyond the Anthropocene. Demonstrating new ways of seeing is an important key to the change that is so urgently needed. Symbio(s)cene represents a holistic approach that unites science and art in order to give space to both cognitive and emotional dimensions of knowledge creation and thus opens up new perspectives for a sustainable human-nature relationship and a future worth living. Symbio(s)cene is dedicated to three core areas: Research and development projects, knowledge transfer and education, and the engagement of the general public. In this context, Symbio(s)cene has also created a repository that publishes summaries of its own activities and essays, and points to contributions from related projects in the arts and sciences.

Die Cultursphere Geschäftsführer Ingrid Rügemer und Oliver Szasz haben gemeinsam mit der Biologin PD Dr. Tina Heger die gemeinnützige Organisation Symbio(s)cene gegründet. Symbio(s)cene will mit seinen Aktivitäten zur Entwicklung neuer, nachhaltiger Weltbilder beitragen und ein Denken jenseits des Anthropozäns fördern. Das Aufzeigen neuer Sichtweisen ist ein wichtiger Schlüssel für den dringend notwendigen Wandel. Symbio(s)cene steht für einen ganzheitlichen Ansatz, der Wissenschaft und Kunst vereint, um sowohl der kognitiven als auch der emotionalen Dimension der Wissensbildung Raum zu geben und damit neue Perspektiven für ein nachhaltiges Mensch-Natur-Verhältnis und eine lebenswerte Zukunft zu eröffnen. Symbio(s)cene widmet sich drei Kernbereichen: Forschungs- und Entwicklungsprojekten, Wissenstransfer und Bildung, und der Ansprache der breiten Öffentlichkeit. In diesem Zusammenhang hat Symbio(s)cene auch ein Repositorium angelegt, das Zusammenfassungen eigener Aktivitäten und Essays veröffentlicht, sowie auf Beiträge verwandter Projekte in Kunst und Wissenschaft hinweist.
